Cute White Bench With Storage

Wouldn't this be awesome in a cottage type room with a cute cushion on it?  It would be perfect blanket storage for cuddling up on chilly nights.

Also a great toy chest, which is how the owner will be using it for now.
 Here is the before...

Armoire

I know I seem like a broken record with my white armoirs but there is a reason.  Number one:  What if I decide I want it?!  (which I do but it weighs so much I don't dare tell my husband he has to carry it upstairs & switch it with the one up there). Number two:  I get a lot of requests for these in white.  There are so many fun colors out there, but white and black are still the most popular.  With some basic colored furniture you can change the wall colors and decor without needing new furniture.  So, it's practical too. :) That's my excuse & I'm stickin' to it!

Who doesn't love shutters?  Why doesn't all furniture have these?

Some teal fabric for a little fun when you open the doors!

This thing is really heavy, solid wood, and beautiful!  What's not to love?

Before...
At one point in time, there must have been drawers in here.  I added a shelf and a fabric lined back to make it a little more functional.

Play Kitchen Made From An Old Entertainment Center

You may remember this play kitchen I made for my playroom.  It took me forever, but I thought with one under my belt, another would be a piece of cake.  Wrong!  There are so many little details to these kitchens!  Just gathering supplies is a project.  Well, lesson learned.  This will be my last kitchen, made for another lucky little girl to receive on Christmas morning.  Ho Ho Ho

This is how it all started.  I have another one in my garage. Anyone that wants it can have for free!  I won't be needing it. :)  Update...the other entertainment center is gone!  Can't wait to see her new creation!
If you should decide to make such a kitchen, just know it's not cheap.  I spent a lot of time bargain shopping and still spent $157.  But, in the end you will have a high quality kitchen, custom made to your liking, and much more durable than the plastic kitchens you can buy for much cheaper.

Here is a list of expenses:
Entertainment center:  $20
Wood for doors:  $25
Paint, primer and polycrylic:  $35
Hinges: $15
Knobs/Handles:  $10
Dog Dish: $7
Faucet:  $15
Shelf/Clock/Curtain Rod:  $7
Plexi-glass:  $5
Brackets to attach microwave:  $6
Magnetic door catches:  $7
Tape: $5

Total: $157

If anyone has any questions about making one of these babies, please email me.  I would be happy to help in any way I can.

Adorable Vanity

This is a custom order for a lucky little girl to receive on Christmas morning.

Don't you love the knobs from Pier 1?  Someday we will get a Hobby Lobby here in St. George, but until then Pier 1 has some pretty cute stuff!

White Nightstands

Sorry if it seems like I'm on a strictly black and white thing lately.  I guess I kind of am!  But, my next project will be a bright and cheery kitchen!

Success or Epic Failure?

I have this place in my hallway that I've been trying to decorate.  Nothing seems tall enough for the area.  So I had this brilliant idea (or maybe not) to add legs to an armoire.  Hmmm.

I bought this table because I LOVED the legs and planned on using them for something.
The armoire is only 5 ft tall to begin with.
And here it is... My kids think it looks like some of the talking furniture from Beauty & the Beast. I'm still not sure what I think.
Crown moulding was added to the top to balance out the bottom.

View without legs...                                                            View with legs...
What do you think?!  It weighs a ton so I don't want to make my husband lug it upstairs until I'm sure.  Please give me your input!!!

White Distressed Dresser

This dresser was in BAD shape.  Every single drawer had to be glued, or the slide reattached, or needed a new drawer glide.  I'm still not sure if the $15 I paid for it was worth all the extra work!  But, now it's a great, sturdy, and funtional piece of furniture that I hope someone will love for many years!
