Here it is with the bottom portion cut off.
I'm always in such a hurry that I forget to take pictures along the way. I added bead board to the top, bottom, and sides. I also found some trim I used to make false drawers, and added a strip of wood along the bottom for hooks. I wish the pictures captured the size of it. It looks awesome!
Here my cute son & husband are holding it for me. As soon as it's hung in it's new office, I will share the pictures. I bet the person who threw this in the dumpster never dreamed it had such a promising future!
braxton your muscles are showing!
ReplyDeleteThat piece is fabulous! I consider myself to have good vision, but I never envisioned how cool that could look! The drawers & bead board were magnificent. Great job... I want one!
ReplyDeleteThis is ridiculous! You turned a 1970's nightmare into an amazing 2012 shelf! I see those old headboards at thrift stores all the time-now I will need to open my eyes and look at them in a new way:)I would love for you to come link up at my party going on now through Sunday night!

Oh, man!!! I had something similar and got rid of it as we didn't have a clue what to do with it. I'm a week too late. LOL.
ReplyDeleteI love it! It looks incredible.
